One of Africa’s most exciting fashion platforms just made its most ambitious announcement yet and the fashion world needs to pay attention.

L’Afrique Fashion Fest, the annual celebration of African creativity, culture and design that has called Port Harcourt home for nine consecutive editions, officially unveiled plans for its landmark 10th edition at a press conference today.

The CEO, Mr Emmer Schneider, made this known at the press conference, stating that this milestone edition is set to be the most significant chapter in the festival’s history. The theme alone says everything — Fashion Beyond Borders.

For the first time in the festival’s decade long journey, L’Afrique Fashion Fest will not be confined to one city. The 10th edition will hold in three cities, three shows and an entire year of fashion, culture and purpose. Co Director Dr Anita further revealed that the first show lands in Lagos, Nigeria in July 2026, putting the festival in the heart of Africa’s fashion capital and its most dynamic creative hub. The second show moves the runway to London, United Kingdom later in the year, taking African fashion directly into one of the world’s most influential style capitals. And the final show returns home to Port Harcourt — where it all began — in November, closing out the milestone edition in the city that has championed this festival from the very beginning.

The team at the press conference also announced that the windows are now open for interested sponsors and partners who wish to be part of this edition. This is a remarkable opportunity to showcase brands and products across three cities to a global audience, with the publicity drive set to kick off immediately through the event build up and all pre event activities leading into each of the three shows. Real estate companies, banks, drink brands, fashion and jewellery labels, oil and gas, tech companies, gadgets and electronics brands and a wide variety of businesses are all welcome to come on board as sponsors for this edition.

Mr Ifeanyi Ijioma also addressed the press conference, speaking about the different measures put in place by the team this year to ensure maximum satisfaction for sponsors and deliver enhanced brand visibility, PR and campaigns across all three cities.

Lead stylist Miss Jasmine added that even more designers from different countries will be coming on board for this edition, building on the festival’s proud history of featuring designers from Ghana, Cameroon, Togo and Benin Republic alongside Nigerian designers. True to its name, L’Afrique Fashion Fest will continue to celebrate the full breadth of African influenced fashion on a truly global stage.

Perhaps the most powerful addition to this edition is the charity component. L’Afrique Fashion Fest will run a dedicated charity initiative in each city that the show will hold, meaning 2026 will not just be about what is on the runway but about the impact being made off it. The specifics of each charity partnership are yet to be revealed, but this is a festival that understands its platform and is choosing to use it for good.

The press conference drew significant media attention and was covered by Channels TV, Arise News, Silverbird TV, Beat FM, Classic FM, Naija FM, ThisDay Style and a host of other outlets — a fitting reflection of the scale and importance of what L’Afrique Fashion Fest is building toward.

Ten editions. Three countries. One powerful theme. African fashion is not coming. It is already here. And L’Afrique Fashion Fest is taking it everywhere.
